Dr. Lucia Wright and Ms. Corina Picker from Haselhorst Associates Consulting GmbH have completed their Smart City Ranking for 2023, which has been issued annually since 2018, and sum up: German cities are taking the helm of their own Smart City!

Learn more about the results of the ranking and about the development of smart cities in Germany. Cities in Germany recognize the need for sustainable and resilient development for the future. Although most municipal stakeholders are taking action on urban transformation, there are still strategic gaps. The current Smart City Ranking provides a comprehensive overview of cities with more than 30,000 inhabitants and shows their progress in terms of smart city initiatives.
