Conference “Digital defense: How deep tech is redefining military capabilities”

The ongoing digitalization of defense is fundamentally changing security policy, technological, and economic conditions. At the heart of this development is the “digital battlefield”—a networked, data-driven, and increasingly AI-supported defense architecture.

This raises some key questions:

• How do we secure communications and data infrastructures?
• How do we effectively promote innovation?
• And how can we successfully foster cooperation between the armed forces, industry, start-ups, and academia in an efficient defense ecosystem?

The conference brings together high-ranking representatives from the Bundeswehr, industry, and academia to discuss how technological sovereignty, innovation, and resilience in the defense sector can be strengthened in a sustainable manner.
