DESCRIPTION:Quantum computers will break common cryptographic methods and protocols in the near future. The competitiveness and technological sovereignty of industry are at risk. To prepare for this challenge, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is promoting cooperation between companies and research institutions in this field. The goal: to bring solutions into use as quickly as possible. Since 2019, a total of seven research projects in the „Post-Quantum Cryptography“ funding line have been developing efficient, secure software and hardware solutions for quantum computer-resistant processes.\nOn May 24, the partners will present the current state of scientific work in a workshop organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security AISEC ( https://www.aisec.fraunhofer.de/ ) and the MÜNCHNER KREIS ( https://www.muenchner-kreis.de/ ).
